What do we have to pay attention to in our skin care in summer?
T.G.: Thorough cleansing is especially important now, as sweating and urban pollution can cause impurities and inflammation in the skin. I recommend the Royal Fern Cleanse consisting of our Cleansing Balm and the Skin Perfecting Essence. Both products free the pores from sebum and dirt and are the first important step in your regime. It is also important to switch to lighter textures in summer, for example in the cream.
Which ingredients are now must-haves?
T.G.: Definitely antioxidants! They neutralize the free radicals produced by the sun and urban pollution and thus prevent the skin from aging.
Our Anti-Oxidant Ampoules also contain hyaluronic acid, which restores lost moisture to the skin, and vitamin C, which counteracts hyperpigmentation.
What is the best way to care for my skin in the evening when I have been in the sun for a long time?
T.G.: Thorough cleansing is also a must here, e.g. to effectively remove the sun protection applied. This should be followed in the routine by antioxidants, as our Anti-Oxidative Ampoules and sufficient moisture would be supplied to the skin. An overnight treatment with our Intense Mask is ideal here. This can also be stored in the refrigerator for an extra freshness kick when applying.
What is your personal beauty tip for the summer months?
T.G.: A good sun protection, SPF 50 which protects against UVA and UVB rays! I like to use pharmaceutical products here. Besides, less is often more on hot days. That's why I like to use our Cleansing Balm in the summer, which is much more than just a cleansing product, but more like a serum. The balm contains hyaluronic acid, cucumber extracts and green tea extracts and thus cares for the skin while cleansing. Afterwards, you can apply your sun protection right away and start the day.
